Way to go Redwings!
Flying in the face of the Storm, Kendal Scheiner showed everyone what hitting was all about. Swinging and connecting, she made it look easy.
Complimenting the show was Morgan Overstreet with excellent fielding throughout the three inning contest. Morgan Overstreet had several excellent throws to first baseman Bryce Bernales.
Way to go Redwings!
Jack Anderson set the tone early by smacking a line drive between second and third base. Then, when our birds took to the field Tyler Nettleman showed his skills by running down several fly balls, followed by successful throws into first base.
Way to go Redwings!
Strong hitting by the Lynx squad brought out fantastic fielding by the Redwings, led by Pitcher Michele Malliaras. Michele stopped several grounders, threw out several base runners, and even managed to "take one" for the team. Way to go Michele!
Not to be outdone on the hitting front, Patrick Poydessus slugged a double by knocking the ball clear out to center field, thereby earning a RBI as well.
Way to go Redwings!
Friendly rivalry between Redwings and Rivercats brings outstanding performances to the forefront. Tyler Nettleman came out swinging, and had the crowd up on it's feet as he knocked one out of the infield, earning a double and a RBI.
Rivercats tried to rally when their ace slugger nailed a line drive down the first baseline, only to be foiled by golden glove first baseman Jack Anderson. Jack Anderson stopped the line drive, and tagged the runner out at first.
Way to go Redwings!
The Bats were looking for food but all they found were stars.
Max Widergren broke out with probably the best hit of the season on this day, smacking the ball clear out to left-center field. The crowd rose to their feet with that effort.
Patrick Poydessus was the cornerstone of the infield that day. He stopped hit after hit, and followed up with successful throws to First Baseman Max Widergren.
Way to go Redwings!
Time for these birds to cross each other’s paths once more.
Max Widergren, fresh off his last successful game, showed us he can do more than just hit. Max’s fielding today was spot on, with several successful throws into first base.
Meanwhile, Kendal Scheiner had the hot bat of the day by slugging several shots into the infield followed by her speedy runs around the bases.

Day two of this double header weekend for the Redwings, brought out our record breaking crowds. Moms, dads, grandparents, friends, family, etcetera all came out and to celebrate a glorious day for baseball. How could it be anything else on this fine Mother’s Day weekend?
The Redwings were eager to show their gratitude to their mom’s nests. Matthew Baetkey set the crowd on his feet with his enigmatic smile after catching a line drive in the air! “Yes, I caught it!”, he exclaimed…but you could hardly hear him over the deafening roar of the crowd.
To continue the fun, Patrick Poydessus cracked a 4 run home run, straight out to center field to send his birds home, and the Raptors packing.
Way to go Redwings!
Can our Redwings get any better? Yes they can. Break out performances continued today as the Redwings showed us what they have learned this season…under the steady tutelage of coach Steve Malliaras and his staff.
We knew our kids could hit, but today every single Redwing successfully hit a thrown pitch. Morgan Overstreet drove her way to pole position by consistently connecting with the ball from the plate. Morgan once again followed up her batting with savvy base running. Bryce Bernales in his breakout performance went three for three at bat, with two of his hits coming off the first pitch thrown at him.
In addition, the magnet of the day award goes to Morgan Overstreet who somehow lured most of the second inning hits right to her. She successfully scooped up several hits and followed them with successful throws to first base.
Congratulation to all the Redwings players, coaches, friends, and family members who have helped make our birds fly high!

Novato Little League North T-ball: Redwings vs. Lynx on
Our Redwings impressed everyone with their season ending skills. Today's game featured our own Bermuda Triangle. It seems the Lynx bats just couldn't get by our defensive squad made up of Max, Matthew, and Patrick (a.k.a., the Bermuda Triangle).
Once again, Redwing bats were hot with consistent hitting by all the Redwing players.
This is Mo, signing off. Thanks for the memories Redwings.
